I have to say, I am not sure where your or JB's comments come from. I cannot say they are unwarranted, but I can say that from the Larry's Beans employees I have known, the efforts I have seen in the company, as well as the interactions and collaborations I have known of Larry's Beans, I would still proudly apply to work with the company.

On that note, I have a similar anecdote with a PR company which shall remain nameless. I worked briefly with a "reputable" PR company in the area. I left very quickly as I saw what were issues in direct conflict with my own work ethic and integrity. However, many many people didn't see their practices as questionable. So I must consider myself one opinion out of many others that oppose. No issue. I certainly wouldn't tell others not to work with said PR company. Those interested would have to gauge that for themselves.

The Larry's Beans mission is sound, and any rockstars seeking work should feel good applying for the position. If they feel any red flags when working with the Larry's Beans rockstar staff, they will cross that bridge then.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. Feel free to contact me directly if you need to share more, etc. asamrb a@t gm ail daht com

A.S. Unfortunately you would be wrong in your assessment. These owners don't know the true meaning of sustainability. That's taking care of your people and not treating the business as a kingdom. That's REAL sustainability. I have had some terrible candy in my life with beautiful wrappers. Pictures often don't tell true stories, and claims of what one is doing don't validate the act. Rockstars....hardly. Self-absorbed, selfish individuals without care for others, definitely.

Wow, JB. Thanks for commenting.

I am not sure what arises within a small company to have such a turnover, except perhaps that times are tough. I know a few small groups and non-profits that actually went through that this year as employees moved on to other jobs, bigger paychecks, or the company just had to go through a complete revamping in order to sustain these economic times, as the previous setup and staff was disengaged and contrary to the company's ultimate mission. I am not saying these are the reasons for Larry's Beans situation. Just hoping to offer a "more than appears" possibility to the scenario.

Thank you for offering something to ponder on with your comment, JB.

I only have one thing to say about your favorite "sustainable company ethic"---

Complete employee turnover in less than two years.

Period.
